I chose this week’s recipe: Creme Brulee French Toast, page 20. Actually, I tossed the cookbook at my husband and told him to pick a recipe, any recipe – any recipe except All Sold Out Chicken Pot Pies 🙂

  1. Use a torch if you’ve got it, or just to layer the bread as flat as you can before baking! Putting uneven french toast under the broiler = crisp/burnt high parts and unmelted sugar on the low parts! 🙂

  3. My torch was out of gas so I broiled/burnt the top of mine 😦 Still quite tasty though!!
